I really did. I bought mac mineralize skinfinish in Perfect Topping, mac nail laquer in Peppermint Patti, YSL Pur Gloss in #4. 

Then add on tons of family drama and you have an awful, but pretty day.

Veronica Mars!

I heard that there is going to be a Veronica Mars movie and I really could not be more excited. The creator of the show, Rob Thomas, says that it is not necessarily guaranteed that Veronica will be in the FBI or some sort of government operative. This had me thinking and I totally had a good alternative theory as to what she's doing now. I have since forgotten it, so it's a bit of a bummer to have to wait. Oh well patience is a virtue. 

Finally

I got a Twitter account. On the reals I only did it to follow Gavin Newsom... he's fine. He's the mayor of San Francisco and I've had a crush on him for a long time. I also learned that his b-day is the day after mine, but many years earlier--we're meant to be, lol.

Anyways I'm not really sure I want to get my heart back because then I would have to admit some sort of vulnerability.  Wouldn't that mean it could get broken?

I've heard some rumors of a SEPHORA opening at Metrotown, in July apparently. I really can't wait!!

I hate Liars

I finally semi called out the biggest liar I know in facebook. Its bitchy, but I could give a shit. Check my FB Status if you have any doubts.

I think I have a problem...

with make up, I just love trying new kinds. I currently want to give Moon River Mineralize Blush (Duo) from Mac a go. I think they're supper pretty and I've been hearing great things about them. I find the fact that there is light blue and yellow in the highlight side fascinating. I'm also looking for a good highlighter so if you (my imaginary readers) know of any good ones please let me know.

Only A Semi Re-Post

I know I already wrote a bit about how much I loved the Dior Fall 2009 Ready- To-Wear. These are my two favorite looks and they seem flattering, but I don't know where I personally would wear them. I just think they are fabulous.

L'Oreal Juice Stick--Island Punch

I stumbled upon them when doing my normal bi-weekly london drugs perusal. They were already almost sold out. London drugs had one left and Superstore had a few left, but I was in a weird sort of hurry so I just chose one. Island Punch to be exact, which is funny since I claim to hate sparkle, yet it is one of the three that have glimmer particles. Anywhooo I came home and decided i made the best choice from the limited selection. Here is a in depth review that I don't feel prepared to  write myself.

Update:

This lip stuff really doesn't compare to my Clinique superbalm gloss in lilac which is suprisingly similar in colour. I'm not super put off put by this stick's gritty gloss, but after luxuriating in superbalm's smooth texture this stuff can't hold a flame to Clinique. I also think that the formulas without sparkle will be ideal and much better feeling.

Also I think Chai Love You might be a good colour for my friend Chaman since we weren't able to find her a good pink last time we looked.

A Few more ideas

Apparently it was only three days ago, but I made a list of things I did to lose weight. Here are some more things I remembered.

-share food as much as possible (this goes against all of my food obsessed tendencies and is very hard to remember to do when you're in food tunnel vision -ftv-)

-post pics of models on your fridge (hard to look at when experiencing ftv)

Hopefully I'll improve my gluttonous ways, but most likely I won't. I've been trying this whole positive thinking thing. I think it might have helped get me my job. I kept picturing myself at a hotel front desk and right now I'm always daydreaming about being in SF and I think it's working. I'm also currently focusing my energy on looking like a mixture of Gwen Stefani and Leighton Meester (Gossip Girl).

Is it Weird?

I think all old guys like me, they tend to talk to me forever and I can't get them to go away. It's not like they're rude, they just monopolize my time. On the upside one bought me pizza today and I don't even think he was trying to drug me, wait a second I'm starting to feel woozy.

Not too Funny

I work at an ok hotel in Harrison. I try to not talk about work too much, and if I do I'm sorry. I'm here like 40 plus hours a week so it dominates my mind space, but I digress. Here are some observations from my current career.

• People are dumb, they can't look at a website and check what hotel they are booking at.
• They don't actually listen to the greeting I give them on the phone
• Rocky Mountain Chocolate is opening in Harrison this Saturday and there will be free samples
• Construction workers are friendly and polite
• Construction engineers and electricians--too friendly
• It is hilarious when old people also hate your co-worker and the old person doesn't even work here
• I may work at a front desk, but I'm nobody's secretary
• effing love pizza
  
• Free shit should be acquired at every opportunity
• I've made 7 dollars in tips since working here

That's all I have for now.

The Upside

The upside of my dad being out of work is that

• He has time to help me with my FAFSA.
• He got sooo depressed he's taking Anti-Depressants.
• He has given up fighting me over my college plans.
• I'm almost even considered the good child, how laughable.
• He always answers my calls.
  

When I was on a roll

In like ninth and tenth grade I lost a bit of weight and I used to have all of these trick to keep myself from eating excessively. Although I spent a lot of time thinking about my weight doesn't mean I didn't eat, I just ate less. Anyways...I forgot all of my tricks, if you have any let me know...wait no fatties read my blog damn it!

The list of what I do remember is
-drink metamucil
-eat ice cubes
-eat yogurt
-move body, whatever that means
-think about other things than food


I'm not saying its fun to diet and shit, but a goal is a goal.

WOW

I actually got a compliment on my skin today. Which is weird since usually only my mom gives me any compliments in that direction. She doesn't really count is what I mean to imply. Anyways WILL SOMEONE COMMENT THIS BLOG? The silence is deafening.

Spend Save Mentality

I know I'm pretty cheap when it comes to clothes and maybe this doesn't really apply to me. I think that it is so ridiculous that people will spend five hundred bucks on (true religion) jeans and still look like they stepped out of American Eagle. If I was skinny enough and rich enough to wear that kind of stuff-- I would get basics on the cheap (i.e. 50 dollar jeans) and then try to spend money smart on mildly trendy pieces. Maybe its just me who feels this way, but expensive doesn't equal classy or chic.

MAC Studio Sculpt

I bought this a few weeks ago and have decided I really like it. It covers all the redness in my face with very little effort, it's hygienic and feels nice. I never feel it on my face, but I think it will slide off if I touch it too much. I think it will work best with people with smooth skin and help even it out.

Gucci Spring 2009

I feel like Gucci scraped out their colour palette from my mind. I pretty much like everything except a few of the Maxi Dresses. I love all the purples and greens!

March Madness

So February was a pretty epic month when it came to Boredomination. Please note that might be the first time I mentioned the name of this blog in a post. Anyways I'm not sure I can keep up the pace this month. Please leave me feedback or suggestions of what I could do better. 

I finally got new house phones because:

a. two wouldn't allow the person you're talking to to hear you

b. the one that did work talk button was broken

c. also the battery wouldn't charge on that phone anymore

d. my mom likes to talk on the phone

We wanted a sanyo touch one, but at walmart it didn't have a model with a built in voicemail or extra handsets
